After reinstalling Windows, you may be able to download a setup file or a trial of the same version of the software and then activate it using that retrieved product key. Some software, such as Microsoft Office 2013 and later and some antivirus programs, allows you to log into its website to download the setup file and get the product key.
As with playing games in Windows 10, it’s important to understand that the new OS is backwards compatible with Windows 7 and 8. It isn’t a new platform which requires new drivers. Microsoft has already confirmed that if Windows 7 drivers are available for a piece of hardware, they’ll work with Windows 10. Disabling all updates
Click on Update & Security. Click on Windows Update. Click the Advanced options button. Under the "Pause updates" sections, use the Pause until drop-down menu, and select when to resume automatic updates on Windows 10.
An updated driver might enable new features for the hardware, something we see on a regular basis with popular video cards and sound cards. Updating drivers is also a great troubleshooting step when the device is having some kind of problem or is generating an error, like a Device Manager error code. Users who upgrade from a previous version of Windows to Windows 10 version 1809 won’t notice any differences as printer and scanner drivers will continue to work just like before.
